Broken 2
I had had so many drinks at this point I needed to use the washroom. "Hey, I'll be right back." I said to Pablo and walked off. I wondered what time Daisy and Lawrence would want to go home. I was having so much fun. On my way back from the washroom I was thinking about an excuse to give to make Daisy stay longer and then everything went cold. I saw Kevin walking with a friend of his. He saw me and smiled. I wasn't sure what to do or say when he walked to me.
"Maggie, looking good." He said. I could tell he was drunk. "Thanks. How are you doing?" I asked. Kevin shook his head and turned to his friend. "PY and I are chilling small. Dawg your white boy and join us. We are going to Firefly from here." He offered. I wasn't sure what to say. I turned to look at Pablo. I decided to be like him. Kevin was being rude. If he really wanted to hang out with me he would have called me earlier. "No thanks I'll pass. See you later." I said and walked back to Pablo. Kevin just stood there surprised.
Somehow I was glad I stepped out that night. I noticed Kevin was watching a football match at the bar but would regularly turn to look at us. I decided to give him a show. I sat closer to Pablo, put my palm on his thigh every now and then and laughed a lot. The laughing part was easy because he was full of jokes. After a while Kevin walked up to us. "Maggie, could you come here?" He asked politely. I walked closer to him. "We are leaving in 5 minutes. Are you coming?" He asked. PY came and joined us. I greeted him and told them I wasn't going with them. Kevin shook his head and walked off. "This is low Maggie. I didn't expect this from you. " PY said and followed Kevin. I stood there confused. Low? Just then Daisy and Lawrence showed up. "My goodness I should have known Kevin would come here. What trash did he say?" She asked.
At this point I wanted to go home. I told Daisy what PY and Kevin said and she told me not to take them seriously. I knew she was right but if Kevin was jealous didn't it mean he still liked me and wanted me back? I nodded to everything Daisy said but I wanted to go home. Pablo offered to take me as he said he was also leaving. I snapped back into my normal self with plans to call Kevin the next day to talk and clear everything out. It was annoying that I missed him.
When we got to my house Pablo walked me to my door. He told me he hadn't had this much fun in a while and obviously that was mutual. After a brief silence he leaned in and kissed me. I wasn't expecting this at all so I moved back. "I'm sorry I thought... the way we were at the pub... I figured..." He stuttered. Oh no! I had sent him wrong signals when I was trying to make Kevin jealous. I couldn't tell him the truth. "I'm sorry I just broke up with my ex boyfriend and I'm not sure I'm ready for anything right now." I said. He stared at me for a second and nodded. "Yea sure, I understand. I'm sorry I took this the wrong way." He said. "No it's my fault. I hope we are still cool?" I asked trying to make eye contact. "Yea of course." He replied. We said our goodnights and Pablo left.
When I got into bed I took out my phone and there was a text from Kevin. "Firefly was really fun. It would have been better if you had come. Are you still at the pub?" It read. I smiled and just before I could reply I got another text. It was Pablo. "Hey, just wanted to say goodnight. I'm about to crash now. See you on Monday." His text read. How did I go from having no one ever text me to having two at the same time? I giggled. I replied Kevin's message first. "Maybe next time when you invite me properly I'll come. I'm off to bed goodnight." I then went ahead to reply Pablo. "Goodnight Pablo, tonight was fun." In no time at all I fell asleep

Zaky 7
When I opened my eyes I was just in bed. The room was pretty
dark. It took a while but I finally remembered I was at Zaky's place. "Hey,
do you have a headache?" Zaky asked walking into the room. He was in a
pair shorts and a black tshirt. He looked so good in casual clothes too? Why?
He sat next to me and kissed my forehead. I shook my head and asked him what
happened. "You had too much wine." He explained. "But it was low
in alcohol." I replied confused. Zaky laughed and said he lied but didn't
think half a glass would knock me out. I wanted to ask him if the kiss was real
or a dream but I felt the kiss on the forehead was a sign that it did. "If
you are not feeling too good I could drive you home." He offered. I
smiled.
After drinking some
water and washing my face I felt fine. I noticed my father had called me
several times. I said goodnight to Zaky and drove off. I ended our kiss prematurely
thanks to the drink he gave me. When I told Dede what happened she said I
shouldn't worry about because we had crossed the friend zone.
The next day Zaky came to my office before lunch. I usually
met him in the lobby but for the first time he came to see me. I smiled when he
walked. Everyone in the office turned around to look at him when he walked to me
desk. They were probably more surprised when he stopped and we spoke.
"What are you doing here?" I asked. He leaned over my desk, looking
around. "I wanted to see your side. You see me everyday in my office so it's
only fair I come see yours too." He
replied. We hadn't spoken about the kiss at all but somehow I felt closer to
him. "You should explain how this whole CCTV camera thing works over
lunch." He said staring at the large monitors showing the different
offices. He held my hand and helped me to get up. Zaky was such a gentleman.
After work we went to watch a movie. I wasn't sure if that
was our first or second date. After the movie the questions about my work
continued. I found it a bit strange how all of a sudden he was interested in
what I did. I didn't think working in the surveillance office was the slightest
bit interesting. So I asked him why. "I guess when I like someone I like
to get to know them more." Zaky shrugged. My heart raced. He just said he
liked me and very effortlessly too. I wanted to shout "I like you
too" but I just froze.
When our date was over Zaky made me drop him off at
a restaurant close to the head office. He said he had to speak with a friend
there. When we got there he stopped before he opened the door. He turned to me
and took off my glasses then he learned over and kissed me. It was short but
very passionate. The kind of kiss that made you wonder why you were allowing
him to stop. "I'll see you tomorrow morning." He said putting my
glasses back on my face. He opened the door and walked out while I stared at
him. I just stared. Immediately I tried to join the main road to head home I saw a familiar face. It was Kafui. She noticed me too and walked to me car. "Your friend said you wanted to know the truth about Zaky." She said when she got to the car. I wasn't sure what to say.

Zaky 6
Zaky and I got pretty close the next couple of days. I picked him up for work and dropped him off everyday. I never mentioned anything about what kafui said to me. I guess having him around me slowly made me forget about that night. First it was just going to and from work together, then it moved to having lunch as well. After a week I was almost certain he liked me.
One day on our usual trip home from work he had a call that changed his mood. He stammered when he replied and I could tell he was carefully selecting his words so I wouldn't get when he was saying. The call was very short and after he kept texting like crazy. "Hey so Friday you move back to the head office right?" I asked trying to get his mind off the call. "Uh huh." He said still typing. When we got to his apartment I parked and looked at his absent-minded face. "Ei, we are here eh?" He asked. I giggled and nodded. "Come upstairs I want to show you something." He said opening the door.
Zaky seemed to come back to his normal self when we were in his apartment. This was my second time there. He brought two glasses of wine and gave me one. I tried to say no but he would have none of that so I just took a sip and put it on the table. "Oh seriously? At least drink half. The alcohol content is very low." Zaky said smiling. I nodded and downed a little more than half. He turned some music on and started dancing. I laughed. I asked what we were celebrating but he just grabbed my hand and started dancing with me. Just as I imagined he was a good dancer.
"I don't know how to dance!" I shouted over the loud music. "I'll teach you." He replied. He put both my hands around his neck and put his hands on my waist. His palms fit gently on my waist and it felt like as we swayed from left to right our bodies got closer inch by inch. When a very slow song started playing we were so close I could feel his breath on my forehead.
Zaky moved me a bit further away, held me chin and kissed me. He stared at me to see my reaction. I guess I was very inviting because without saying anything he kissed me again. It felt nicer than I imagined it to be. I didn't think we would be at this stage at least until a couple of weeks but I guess that wasn't his style and I didn't mind at all. Then gradually I got completely light headed and blacked out.

Blind date
I looked around for a black t shirt. I was about to text Aziz to ask where he was when I spotted a fine guy in a black Tshirt. I smiled and put my phone back into my bag. I walked up to him. He looked really cute. Paulina told me he was cool. She was probably being her usual modest self. Then it hit me. Would he think I was cute too. I paused and turned to look at my reflection in one of the glass windows of the bar. I tossed up my hair a little and continued walking. My heart started racing when I got to his table. I smiled. He smiled back too but not as broad as mine. "Aziz right? It's good to finally meet in person." I said.
"How are you doing?" He asked to break the awkward silence after I sat down. I said I was fine. A waiter came up to me and I ordered a drink. Immediately my drink came a guy walked up to us and spoke to my date. "Hey we are going to play pool do you want to join us? I didn't catch your name. I'm Kofi." he offered. I shook my head. "Not really, I don't know how to play. I'll just make him lose. I'm Selina." I said smiling. They didn't seem to take no for an answer so I gave in.
Aziz gave me a cue and a quick tutorial. "It's really not that hard. Besides no one on earth is as bad as Kofi's girlfriend in pool." he teased. I giggled. "Easy like you driving your Range Rover eh?" I asked. "Err more like me brushing my teeth, super easy." he said and gave a goofy smile. I laughed again. We were beginning to get along well. He was much more interesting in person. Kofi played first, then Aziz. When Dora, Kofi's girlfriend played I realized what Aziz was trying to say all along. He winked at me and I giggled. It was finally my turn and my coach walked up behind me and showed me how to position my cue. He was rather close but I wasn't complaining. Surprisingly, I didn't do badly at all. As the game went on, Kofi kept asking me if I had really never played before. When I potted my first ball I couldn't help jumping up and down. Aziz run to me, raised me up, spinning me in the air and said I was the best student ever. I laughed my head off when we turned back to look at Kofi and Dora's faces. Their expressions were priceless.
Right after the game, which of course Aziz and I won, we went to sit at the lounge area. The chemistry between Aziz and I was just perfect. The kind where we felt perfectly comfortable around each other. We spoke about the new movies we had all seen and Aziz and I were glad we had the same taste in movies. We even planned to see a new movie sometime. I took out my phone to send a thank you message to my match maker when I noticed 15 missed calls from Paulina and Aziz. I ignored his guessing they were from earlier and rushed to the bathroom to call Paulina back.
"Hey where are you?!" She asked immediately she picked up the phone. I giggled. "Oh say a blind date maybe?" I teased. Paulina wasn't moved. "Ah have you met Aziz yet? He said he couldn't find you. Where have you been?" She asked. I rolled my eyes. "Calm down I'm in the washroom. I was just a little bit late but I've seen him now." I replied. "This your lateness dierr." Paulina said finally calm. She said she had to go and hung up. I looked in the washroom mirror, straightened my dress and walked out. Just before I got to my seat a tall dark guy in a black t-shirt walked up to me. "Hi, Selina right?" He asked. I nodded wondering how he knew my name. He noticed I was a bit puzzled and said. "I'm Aziz, I've been waiting for you for so long. I would have left if it wasn't for Paulina. We said we'd be meeting outside." He explained and I froze. I didn't know what to say. I turned to look at the table I was sitting and saw Kofi and Dora laughing hard. The fake Aziz was staring straight at me. It was like he knew. I turned to Aziz and smiled. "I'm sorry about that." I managed to say. My date said he didn't like the food at the pub so he suggested we go to a Chinese restaurant. I nodded. I turned back to look at the table. "Are you coming?" Aziz asked. I smiled and walked out with him.
Aziz opened the door to his Range Rover when we got to the parking lot. I sat down quietly. "You like Chinese food don't you? Even if you don't, you'll like this particular one. They are the best." He said as he sparked the car. I was barely paying attention. Too many things were running through my head. Then I saw him. He was walking alone. I turned to Aziz. "I'm really sorry I wasted your time but I'll be wasting more of your time if I go with you. I have to go." I said, opening the door and getting out. "What? What are you talking about?!" He asked furiously. "I don't think this date is working so I'm ending it before it gets worse." I added and ran off. I heard him swear and drive off fast.
I broke into a run in the direction I saw my fake Aziz go. When I saw him standing beside his old car I yelled, "hey!". He stopped and turned around. "Why, why did you lie about being Aziz?" I asked when I caught up with him. "I didn't lie. I just didn't say I wasn't him." He said. "Yeah? Well on this planet it's still lying." I replied. "Oh, is it that obvious I'm not an earthling?" he joked but my expression didn't change. "I'm sorry, what I did wasn't right. I just really wanted to get to know you. I couldn't get myself to tell you the truth. I'm sorry I ruined your date. I won't be causing any more trouble, I'm leaving." He said. He sounded so genuine. If he wasn't, he was the best actor in the world. There was something about him, something very nice. "You didn't ruin my date. Well, technically you did but I still had fun." I said. A smile slowly formed on his face. "We can play another game of pool if you like. I won't mind a few tips." I said stretching out my hand. He took it. "Yes, yes let's play." He said and we walked back. "So what's your real name Fake Aziz?" I teased. "I'm Paul Mensah. Yup, sorry to disappoint you. I have a nice and boring name." Paul said. I laughed again. Paulina wasn't gonna like this at all.
"How are you doing?" He asked to break the awkward silence after I sat down. I said I was fine. A waiter came up to me and I ordered a drink. Eli's wife 8
Sena turned to look at Eli. He was deep in thought. She could tell. "I hate hospitals." She said to break the silence. Eli didn't say a thing. Just then a middle aged nurse walked up to them. "Eli." she said and hugged him. Eli lit up and smiled. He asked about how she was doing and she cheerfully answered him. Sena just nodded with a little grin. The woman wasn't very receptive towards her. She spoke a little about how sad Tina's death was and how she was off duty the last time she came to the clinic. "Are you two expecting already?" she said giving Sena a hard look. "Expecting? Oh no, not at all. I just came to see Uncle Richard. We heard he has tons of patients today so we are waiting." Eli quickly replied. The nurse told them. "Don't be silly, Eli. I will go and tell him you are here." she said and walked off. Eli tried to tell her he didn't mind waiting but he would have been lying. When she was gone he turned to Sena and apologized. He said she was very fond of Tina that's why she was a bit rude.
In time at all the nurse came back and signaled for them to go into the doctor's office. Sena held Eli's hand just when he was about to get up. She asked him what he was going to say to his doctor. "I'm going to tell him about Tina's autopsy and ask him what happened when she came to see him." he said. Sena. "Wait for him to mention her visit himself alright?" She added as they walked to the office.
Doctor Richard, a tall half cast man in his late fifties was a little surprised to see them. He congratulated them on their marriage and apologized for not being able to make it to the wedding. Sena watched him very closely while Eli did most of the talking. Richard mentioned how sorry he was about Tina's passing. The couple waited to see if he would tell them about her visit but he rather asked what brought them there. Eli turned to look at Sena. She nodded and he told him the story. "Ah yes she was here…err…" He stuttered. "We know she was pregnant." Sena said and there was a brief silence. Richard nodded. "She asked for an abortion but I said I wouldn't do it and she left." he finally said, his tone a little different. "Why didn't you tell me?" Eli asked. "I'm sorry, Eli. I should have told you." He replied. Just then a siren went off and a bunch of nurses rushed to the gate. "I have to go." Richard said rushing towards the entrance of the clinic. A man with multiple stab wounds was being carried in from an ambulance. Eli and Sena left.
"Hey, are you alright?" Charles said, sitting next to Sena. She was visiting him. She felt the need to be close to someone after all that happened in the hospital. "I'm alright it's just my...a client of mine." she lied. Charles handed her a cup of ice cream and asked her to share her burden with him. She explained Tina's case to him. Using fake names. He listened to her attentively. "So who do you think killed her because her car wasn't tempered with right? And where is her body now?" he asked. Sena thought for a minute. "Honestly, I think it's his father. He could have manipulated the doctor to inject her with something. She's been buried now. It's just sad that I don't know how to tell my client." She answered and Charles smiled. He hugged her and told her not to worry.
Doctor Richard closed the door to his office and picked up his phone and called the President. "Sorry to bother you but there's something you should know. Eli and his wife were here to find out about Ernestina's death." he said. President Tamakloe was worried. He asked Richard what he told them and he answered with exactly what he told them. The President told him to keep it as it is and hung up.

Eli's wife 7
Sena was reading the article the journalist wrote about Eli and his ex. She was so busy that she didn't notice Eli enter her office. She almost jumped when she saw him. "Easy, it's just me. Your secretary left her post." He said. Sena nodded. She looked down at the paper. She closed it quickly and looked up. He read her expression. "I'm sorry for invading your space but I need a favour. You don't have to hide the paper. My dad has told me about the articles. I really don't care about them." Eli said, sitting down. He sounded different. Sena was surprised. Almost speechless.
"The doctor who took care of Tina called me an hour ago..." Eli started. His eyes started to water but he fought the tears well. "He said…he said Tina was 3 months pregnant. She didn't tell me. I had no clue but he said the autopsy suggests that her death wasn't natural," he finally said. Sena's mouth opened. "You think someone killed…you think she was murdered?" she asked. Eli nodded. "I want to find who did this but I can't trust anyone. If I pursue it myself my father will be on my case. You are a lawyer. No one will suspect anything. Please Sena." he said. Sena agreed to help. He deserved to know the truth. Everyone did.
The next few weeks Sena got a few detectives to delve into Tina's death. She and Eli even had a party at their house and attended more events together to throw their parents off. They acted very much like a real couple. Enyonam was very pleased and so were her parents. Sena was almost at peace. The only thing bothering her was Charles. He was even more persistent about them taking their relationship a step further. It used to be just a little reminder here and there but recently he had become a little more persistent. She sort of understood him but she couldn't bear the guilt now that Tina had died and Eli was a mess. Just a little longer. His love just had to endure a little longer.
"Tina's parents didn't know about the pregnancy. It looks like she didn't want anyone to know about it, but her best friend found the tests she used in the trash. She told her not to tell anyone because she was going to abort it but I'm guessing she didn't. The doctor probably refused to do it." Detective Kwei said. Sena thought hard. He added that he didn't know who the doctor was. He added that the car was not tampered with. Sena nodded and handed him his cheque. Sena took out her little notebook with all the evidence her detectives had collected. She added what she just found out and tried to make sense of it. Then her phone rang. She smiled when she noticed it was Charles. He insisted in taking her to dinner saying she worked too late all the time. Sena couldn't resist him.
"Good morning." Eli said when Sena walked into the kitchen. They planned to discuss Tina's evidence when Sena got back from work but her little dinner with Charles turned out to be longer than she imagined. She apologized and handed him the book. "Do you know Tina's doctor? Or a doctor she used to trust? Maybe family or a friend?" she asked. She poured herself a glass of fruit juice. "I don't know about family or friend doctors...but my doctor used to help her out with some notes for work when she needed a day or two off. Doctor Richard. He's our family doctor. Whenever there's a crisis..." Eli started and looked straight at Sena. "No but if she went to him he would have told me." Eli said completely forgoing his bacon and eggs. Sena nodded. "Which hospital does he work in?" Sena asked picking up a piece of bacon from Eli's plate to quiet her noisy stomach. "He has his own little clinic at Labone." Eli answered. Sena looked up at
him instantly. "That's where she had the accident." Sena revealed.

Eli's wife 4
"Sorry my place is not as interesting as yours." Charles said to Sena handing her a glass of wine. Sena smiled. He had no idea she wasn't living in her own apartment anymore. She changed the subject quickly. Charles sat next to her and put his arm around her. Sena rested her head on his chest. She could hear his heart beat. It was beating just as fast as hers. Then Charles held her chin and raised her head. He leaned in and kissed her. Sena felt a chill. She moved closer to him. The kiss got deeper. Charles reached for the zip of Sena's dress and opened it almost halfway before she moved back. She thought about Eli and her wedding ring in her pocket. "I thought you were ready." Charles said. Sena stroked his chin. "I thought so too but maybe we are rushing this." She replied trying not to look into his eyes. Charles nodded. Sena made up an excuse and got up to leave. Charles tried to talk her into staying but he wasn't successful.
Sena cried as she drove home. When she got to the house she noticed Eli's car was not in the garage. She looked at her watch. It was 10 past midnight. Eli was usually home before 9. As she walked into the house. She said hello to the security man and asked where Eli was. He explained to her that he left the house in a hurry 30 minutes ago. Sena found that strange. She went straight to her room, took a warm shower and tried to sleep. "What am I doing?" She asked herself.
The next morning Sena was dashing down the stairs in order to get to work on time when she saw Eli entering the house. He looked like he hadn't slept all night. He went straight into the kitchen and poured himself a glass of beer. "Isn't it too early to be drinking?" Sena asked. "I look like shit, smell like shit and that's the first thing you ask me? What a perfect wife you are." Eli said. Sena was hurt. She turned around and left. She felt bad leaving but she didn't want to fight. At least not this early.
Sena was just about to go out for lunch with Charles when her sister popped up into her office. Sena was not amused and it didn't look like a pleasant visit either. "I'm living with Prince Charming what do you want again?" She asked sarcastically. Enyonam didn't even smile. She just dropped a newspaper in front of Sena. Sena picked it up. She read all the top stories and found what Enyonam wanted her to read. It was a story about Eli's visits to his ex-girlfriend's place and how he spent the whole night in the hospital with her the last night. The writer was suggesting that his marriage to Sena did not make sense and that it was just a way to keep Sena's father funding the president's campaign. Sena looked down and saw the page number. "Nobody will take this guy seriously. He will sound like a desperate reporter who wants attention. He's at the bottom of page 12." She said. Enyonam leaned closer to Sena. "Fix your marriage. Keep your husband in the house. Daddy worked too hard to get us the power and recognition we have. You are going to be first Lady in some years to come and who knows, maybe your son will be president. Sena don't mess this up." Enyonam threatened in the darkest of voices. She turned around and walked out leaving Sena speechless.

Eli's wife 3
Breaking the news to their
parents that they intended to postpone their honey moon was hard for both Eli
and Sena. Eli lied about work he had to do and Sena blamed it on bad health. At
least they had their way in this one. The couple left the hotel to their own
house. The presents from the wedding filled a whole guest room. The house was
big, modern and very beautiful. It had a big backyard and a nice little
swimming pool. When the movers came with some of Sena's stuff she put them in
another room. She wasn't planning on sharing a room with Eli. He understood.
The house was easy to live in. There was a maid who did the laundry and
cleaning, a cook and 24-hour security man. Eli introduced Sena to the staff. He
wasn't sure how things would go with Sena in the house but he could only find
out.
The very next day she went
to work. She had plans to meet Charles for lunch and she did. Just before she
got out of her car she noticed her wedding ring on her finger. Her heart missed
a beat. She took it off immediately and put it in her pocket. Charles looked
more charming to her for some reason. They ordered food from her favorite
restaurant and talked. She never got tired of talking to him. He loved talking
to her too. She was the most straight forward and honest person he had ever
known, or was she? Sena was glad Charles didn't pay much attention to local
media or else her little secret would have been out. As she listened to Charles talk and laugh she
realized her life wasn't that bad after all at least that moment wasn't.
In Eli and Sena's matrimonial home, both of them lived their separate
lives. They could go for days without a conversation. Each one had their own
room and Sena eat in her room when Eli was sitting at the dining hall. One
evening, about 10 minutes after Sena came back from work she heard a knock at
her room door. It was Eli. She asked him to come in for the first time since
she moved in. "There's a fundraiser we are to attend. The Charity ball.
It's on Friday at 7." he said noticing the changes in the room. He dropped
the invitation card on her bed and turned to leave. Sena didn't want to go. It
was just an event for wealthy people to show off. Her father made it a point to
always attend and his donations were always among the biggest. She knew she
couldn't get out of this one.
On the day of the Charity ball, Sena wore a beautiful gown and her
husband, a lovely suit. Just before they entered the hall Eli grabbed Sena's
arm. "Everyone is going to ask plenty questions. Act like we are the
happiest couple in the world so they don't need to ok?" Sena was caught
off guard but she nodded in agreement. Eli was right. She put on a fake smile
and they walked in. It was just as always, expensive suits, rich kente and evening
gowns that cost a lot of money. There was a jazz band playing and a performance
by a renowned highlife artist. In no time at all Sena and Eli were surrounded
by people congratulating them. "We were surprised you two got married.
Your fathers are so close you would think they cooked this up." The
Minister of Finance said to Eli. He smiled and nodded almost unsure what to
say. "Technically they did. Eli and I grew up together and just fell in
love." Sena said quickly and held his hand. He nodded relieved. The man
seemed convinced. Sena and Eli pretended to love each other the whole night and
their parents were so pleased. When they got back home, Sena went to her room
and Eli his without saying goodnight.
Eli waited for Sena to leave the next morning and drove to Tina's
house. She had started talking to him again but the conversations were never
the same. She was not the same. He managed to convince her to take a ride with
him so he shows her something. Tina agreed and they drove to his house.
"You want to show me your wife? Really, Eli?" Tina said when they got
there. Eli shook his head and told her that Sena was not at home. He just
wanted to show her something. She got out of the car and they walked upstairs.
He showed her Sena's room. He explained to her once again the nature of their
marriage. "We are just together on paper." Eli said. He took Tina to
his own room and pulled open the wardrobe. Tina saw some of her clothes neatly
arranged. She even saw her toothbrush in his bathroom. Tina smiled. Eli held
her close and kissed her. She kissed him back. Then she felt his cold wedding
ring on her face. "Eli I can't do this. You are married." She said
and rushed out of the room.

Just my luck 3
“My boss came around and saw that I was the only one left.
So when I was done he gave me a ride home.” I wanted to ask her why he would do
that since she had a car but I really wanted this story to be over so we could
get busy. “He said he had some files to show me so he took me to his house.
Then from nowhere he started touching me. I didn't like it.” She went on. I almost
choked on the popcorn I was eating. “I told him I had to leave but he grabbed
me and started kissing me. That kind of felt nice. Then he took off his
clothes.” She had all my attention now! She went on. “He is so violent eh? Well
I mean he was.” She giggled. I didn’t catch the joke but she went on anyway.
“Ok, so he almost rips my dress off and turns me around. Can you imagine?!” Her
tone was rising now. I was so shocked I couldn't even speak. To make matters
worse she was smiling. Why was she smiling?
“So I said to him, Sir this is not
right. I have a boyfriend.” She narrated. What?! “You have a boyfriend?” I
asked, confused. She giggled and shook her head. “No, silly.” She replied. “Oh
you just said that so he would stop right?” I added and sat a bit further up.
“That’s right, but he said he didn’t mind so I pushed him away.” She said. “You did the right thing.” I said, calming
down now. She smiled. "I know. I should have gone to the police but I was
scared." She said, looking away. "Oh don't be worried. It's ok. You
can do that later." I added with a smile. I looked at the wound again.
"Did you get hurt when he got all over you?" I asked. I turned to get
a tissue from my bedside table. She took the tissue and wiped some blood off
the wound without saying a word. "Don't you think I am sexy?" She
finally said out of the blue. "Of course, you are. You are one of the
hottest girls I have ever seen." I confessed. I wasn't sure I should have
said all that but I was just being honest. She smiled mischievously My heart
was beating so fast. I took the tissue from her and put it in the dustbin.
"You didn't tell me how you got hurt though." I said. She giggled
again. "I'm thirsty." She said, touching her throat. I nodded and we
walked to the kitchen. As we left I heard my phone ring. I knew it was the
boys. I intentionally allowed it to ring so they would think 'wide', if you
know what I mean.
I poured Agnes a glass of water and watched her drink it. I
looked away when I started getting ideas. She put the empty glass down.
"Ahah, so I pushed him away ok?" She said dramatically. I leaned on
the wall and listened as she went on." He almost fell. Then he got angry
and called me a childish brat. Can you imagine?! So I walked over to him and
told him he was an old fool. The insults went on for a while and then he did
it." She said with her eyes fearfully wide open. "Did what?" I
asked immediately. "He slapped me." She replied. I covered my mouth
with my palm. "Oh no." I added. "Exactly! I was so furious I
picked up a flower vase and knocked his head with it. No one slaps me and gets
away with it!" She thundered slamming her hand on the table. Which made me
jump. "Eish!" I yelled in my head.
"So what happened?" I
asked unconsciously filling her glass with water again. "I grabbed a flower
vase and smashed it on his head. Some of the glass cut me. She said, pointing
to her wound. At this moment the water was pouring out of the glass. I noticed
it and grabbed a napkin to clean it up. "So he fell down. Stupid man. So I
kicked him a few times and left. Since he had wasted my time I took his
car." She went on. I just stood there staring at her. To make matters
worse she was smiling. "God please let her be joking." I prayed
silently. She walked over to me and leaned over. "Have you ever done it in
the kitchen before?" she whispered. I felt a shiver.

Just my luck 2
I opened the gate for her to park inside
and we got into the house. She smiled as she looked around. “Nice place, show
me around.” She said, holding out her hand to me. I took her arm immediately
and showed her around the house. “Wow, so you are the boss now huh?” She asked.
I nodded, feeling really good. And just like magic, the tour ended in my room.
I was so glad I had cleaned it the day before. “Wow, cool laptop.”She said
opening my lap top. I had the widest smile on my face and said “thank you”. “Oh
can we watch a movie?”She asked. I nodded. All of a sudden I had some strange
confidence. “I have some microwave pop corn. Let me just go and fix some.”I
said and walked out.
I went to the kitchen to fix the snack.
When I put the corn into the microwave, I noticed Max was calling. I smiled and
took the call. “Chale we are sorry oh. Kwasi wey e delay we. What dey go on?”He
asked. “Oh e choose. I dey house. I get guest.”I replied, eager to tell him
more. “Why, some your relative come around anaa?”Max asked again. Now I was
really smiling. “Naa, I just dey chill plus some chick for here. Chale I for
go. She dey wedge me.”I said. I heard him ask for more info just before I hung
up. I took the popcorn and walked back to my room. Agnes had taken off her
shoes and was lying on my bed with the laptop in front of her. This was a lot
to take in. I lay down next to her and we watched the movie. Every time her arm
or leg touched me, I felt a little tingle.
Out of nowhere Agnes put her head on my
shoulder as we both sat up with our backs to the wall on my bed. It felt so
good. She was so comfortable. For a few minutes I was completely distracted.
Then she went a step further and put her arm around my waist. I almost jumped.
She was just so sexy eh? I tried to remain calm. Maybe she was just trying to
make herself comfortable. “Are you
comfortable?”I asked without thinking.
She smiled and said yes. After a few minutes she fidgeted Without any
warning she stopped the movie and said, “This movie is boring.” Then she held
my chin and kissed me.
The kiss went on for very long. Then she
instantly pulled away. “You are OK with this right?”She asked. Was she kidding
me? “Yes, yes.”I replied and kissed her back. It felt amazing. To my surprise
she unbuttoned my shirt and her dress as well. Clearly she was looking for some
action! My eyes opened as she unbuttoned her dress. It was time to ‘realify’ my
fantasy. My jaw almost dropped when I saw a huge wound on her shoulder. The
plaster that was covering it was coming off. It looked fresh. “Agnes, what
happened to your shoulder?”I asked, concerned. She looked down at the wound,
fixed the plaster and started smiling. “It’s a long story papa. Do you want to
hear it?”She asked. Honestly, I didn't but I wasn't in the position to sound
rude. “Yea, why not?”I replied. She sat up straight. “I had a lot of work to do
today, ok? So i stayed a little late to finish it.”She started. “Uh huh.” I
said reluctantly.

Hi Stranger 3
Then like magic we both looked away at the same time. We froze for a bit and started to laugh. We were so in sync it was scary. “You have a boyfriend right?” He finally said. I nodded and he smiled. “Ok, this is pretty awkward. I’ll just lie like this. I suggest you do same.” He said and turned to face the other side. We laughed again. The tension just seemed to have disappeared. “Can I ask you something? Does your girlfriend know you are here?” I asked. “Yes she does. You don’t think I’m trying to take advantage of you, do you?” He asked, turning to face me. “No, that’s not why I’m asking. It’s my boyfriend. When I called him I heard a girl’s voice in the background and I was kind of upset.” I confessed. He tilted his head a bit showing part of his amazing ‘back head’.
“To answer your question, yes she knows I’m with a bunch of friends and some are girls. With your boyfriend right, let me ask you something. Should he doubt you?” He asked. I was almost offended until I realized what he meant. “Oh yea I get you. I just have to trust him eh?” I replied. I was lying down next to a really hot guy, why should I be upset when he does the same thing? I smiled broadly. “Hey thanks.” I said and he nodded. He smiled again. “So in order for us to remain faithful, I suggest you turn your awesomely attractive face away. Thank you.” He said and I couldn’t help laughing.
We lay there chatting, about relationships. He was giving me good advice too. He made jokes about almost everything and told me things I almost didn’t believe. He told me one thing I would never forget though. He said, “If you focus on enjoying yourself in a faithful way without your partner, it will strip you off your suspicions. Learn how to have fun on your own.” I knew he was right and even though I never saw him ever again, he gave me something that changed my relationship forever. Thank you Vincent!
